I-25 expansion between Johntown & Fort Collins

Wellington downtown murals project

The Wellington Main Streets Program, a nonprofit organization, recently funded new murals that now adorn buildings in downtown Wellington. The mission of the organization is to promote, enhance and develop downtown Wellington. Committee members are already working with other building owners on ideas for future projects.

Berthoud TPC course to debut pro golf tour

The Web.com Tour recently announced they will debut a new tournament at the TPC Colorado Championship course in Berthoud. The event will be held in July 2019 with 156 players competing for $600,000. The players will be comprised of pro golfers who have not yet reached the PGA tournaments or who have played at the PGA level but haven’t won enough points to stay there. Weld County ranks 5th for purchasing power

News BriefsSmartAsset, a financial technology firm, recently released a study that compared cost of living as a percentage of median income to determine the purchasing power for different Colorado counties. Weld County ranked #5 with a score of 76.05. The cost of living was $38,995 and its median income was $62,820. Food Truck park to open in Evans

The Yard, a food-truck park, will be opening at 3520 S. 11th Ave in Evans. The park spans two-acres and includes a 2,949-square-foot restaurant building. The owners are converting the building into an entertainment and bar venue, which will feature local musicians, artists and craft beers.

Two NoCo UCHealth hospitals ranked best in Colorado

The U.S. News & World Report recently ranked the best regional hospitals in Colorado and two Northern Colorado UCHealth hospitals made the Top 10. The Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland was ranked 5th in the state, and Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins was ranked 10th. Regional hospitals were evaluated based on their performance in the adult specialty rankings analysis and by scores across nine procedure and condition areas. 2nd Quarter Market Watch

Information and Real Estate Services (IRES), the Northern Colorado MLS, released the Q2-2018 Market Watch Report. In Weld County, the number of Closed Sales was up 13.8% while the Median Sales Price was up 5.5%, reaching $348,000. The Days on Market (DOM) for listings increased slightly by 1.6%, coming in at 61 days. In Larimer County, the number of Closed Sales was down by 8.0% while the Median Sales Price was up by 8.1%, reaching $410,000. Homes also sold a little more quickly in Larimer County, with the DOM for listings down 9.3% to reach 64 days.
