For more than 40 years Louise, Tim and their family thoroughly enjoyed their slice of Berkeley in this charming and roomy 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home. Every inch of the home & garden was cherished and loved, including the abundant storage space. In Louise's own words, in a poem she wrote to the house: "...We lived here,/loved here,/raised our children here,/who went off to loves and lives in other places./We are following their footsteps,/leaving this house where we've lived/for more than forty years/and this is what we've loved:/Morning light shining through the windows/as we're rushing off to school or work,/or sitting by the fire with the New York Times,/Princess tree madly blooming in the front,/tomatoes every summer in the back,/passion fruit in January,/apples in the fall,/Thanksgiving feast abounding in the kitchen,/spilling out to dining room and deck,/tables up and down the living room,/Front window Christmas tree greeting all who pass,/backyard birthdays for kids and grownups too,/July 4 BBQ damped by the fog.../This is the house where our dreams came true./Life has happened here,/home has happened here...
